SNS Technologies

Your technology should be driving your business forward

SNS Technologies is a Durban-based Microsoft partner that helps businesses across KwaZulu-Natal get real, measurable value from the technology they already pay for — better productivity, stronger security, less manual work and smarter decisions, delivered as one managed experience.

What is Technology Enablement? Technology enablement is about turning technology into tangible business value. It means aligning your existing systems with business goals, closing capability gaps, automating manual processes and empowering your team to get the most out of the tools available to them. At SNS Technologies, we help businesses work smarter through Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, networking, business applications, automation and AI — creating a more secure, connected and productive workplace. Certified Microsoft Partner and Cisco security partner. Based in Sherwood, Durban, we support businesses across KwaZulu-Natal and throughout South Africa.

The technology is already there. The value usually is not.

Most businesses we meet are not missing tools. The licences are paid for every month, the systems are in place, and the security features are sitting switched off inside a subscription nobody has fully opened. What is missing is the work in between: connecting technology to what the business is actually trying to achieve, closing the gaps, removing the manual steps, and helping people use what they have.

Without that work, technology becomes overhead. With it, technology becomes an advantage. SNS Technologies exists to close that gap — not by selling you more, but by making what you own work harder, and building what is genuinely missing.

Pull quote for the designer: IT should be an enabler of success, not a constraint.

What we help businesses achieve

Nine outcome cards, laid out three across on desktop. Each card carries an outcome headline, two or three lines of copy, and a short line naming the technologies involved. That third line is the SEO change agreed in the marketing session: it puts the terms buyers search directly on the page, attached to the service SNS delivers rather than to product features. The full grid, including the exact card copy and technology lines, is in Part D.

How we work — business first, technology second

Every engagement starts with the business, not the network diagram. We sit with the people running the operation and find out what is slowing them down, where work gets stuck, what leadership cannot see, and what growth is going to demand in the next two years. Only then do we look at the technology, because the tool is the last decision, not the first. From there we map the gap between where you are and where you want to be, and we are honest about which parts matter now and which can wait. Some gaps close by configuring and adopting what you already own. Others need something built — an application, an automated workflow, a reporting set, a redesigned network. We do both, which is the difference between an advisor who writes a recommendation and a partner who delivers the result. Then we stay. Technology that is implemented and left alone quietly decays, so we manage, secure and keep improving it, and we measure ourselves on business outcomes rather than on how many tickets were closed. Our clients hold us to fewer disruptions, faster processes, better information and a technology spend that clearly earns its place.

We find the problem, then we build the fix

This is the part most IT providers leave out. A large share of the value our clients get does not come from a product at all — it comes from someone sitting with the business, understanding a process properly, and then building something that removes the problem for good. That might be an internal application that replaces a spreadsheet everyone has stopped trusting, an automated approval that turns a two-week cycle into two hours, a reporting set that gives management the numbers on the first working day of the month, or an assistant that answers the questions your team asks over and over. We build these on the Microsoft platform you already own, so they are secure, supported and cost-effective rather than another system to maintain. Technologies we build with: Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft Copilot Studio and Dynamics 365.

Putting AI to work in your business

AI is the fastest-moving opportunity our clients have, and the easiest to waste. We help businesses in Durban and across South Africa move past experimenting with chat tools and into AI that does real work: agents built on your own information, automations that remove manual effort, and reporting that helps leaders decide sooner. Three dimensions, in practice:

Getting more from every rand you invest in technology

Technology spend is easy to grow and hard to justify. Separate suppliers for support, security, cloud, telephony, applications and reporting means separate invoices, separate accountability and nobody owning the result. Our managed experiences bring it together under one partner and one predictable monthly investment, so you can plan the cost and see what it returns. Inside that single arrangement sits proactive management and support, security and device management, cloud and infrastructure management, strategic technology guidance, adoption work, and a level of solution building and business consulting most providers charge separately for. You get a technology partner accountable for outcomes rather than a stack of suppliers each accountable for their own piece.

Who we work with

We work with established South African businesses, typically from ten to a few hundred users, that depend on their technology and have outgrown ad hoc IT.

A technology partner based in Durban, working across KwaZulu-Natal

SNS Technologies operates from Sherwood in Durban and works with businesses across the greater Durban area, including Westville, Umhlanga, Pinetown, Hillcrest, Ballito and the Durban CBD, with remote delivery and support for clients nationally across South Africa. Being local matters when a project needs someone on site, when a network has to be installed and commissioned, or when leadership wants to sit across a table rather than on a call.

Productivity and modern work — Do more with the tools you already have

Most businesses use a fraction of what they pay for every month. We turn Microsoft 365 into a properly adopted modern workplace, so collaboration is easier, information is findable and everyday work takes less time.

Technologies Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams Phone, modern workplace enablement

Solution building — We find the problem, then we build the fix

When the gap is a missing system rather than a missing feature, we build it. Business applications, automated workflows and internal tools that remove a problem permanently, built on the platform you already own.

Technologies Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, business process automation, business technology consulting

AI adoption — Put AI to work in your business

We move businesses past experimenting with AI and into AI that does real work: agents grounded in your own information, automations that remove manual effort, and adoption support that makes it stick.

Technologies Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Copilot agents, SharePoint agents, custom skills, AI adoption services

Operational efficiency — Remove friction from every process

Approvals that wait days, information rekeyed between systems, work that stalls because one person is unavailable. We redesign and automate those processes so work moves without chasing.

Technologies Power Automate, workflow automation, Dynamics 365, system integration, business process optimisation

Security and compliance — Protect what you have built

One incident can cost a business its data, its trading days and its reputation. We protect users, data and devices, monitor for threats and respond quickly, strengthening your posture and your readiness for obligations such as POPIA.

Technologies Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra ID, multi-factor and passwordless authentication, zero trust, Cisco Umbrella, security assessments

Device management — Every device managed, wherever your people work

New starters equipped remotely in minutes, security policies applied everywhere automatically, and company data removed cleanly when a device is lost or someone leaves. Secure flexibility without the manual effort.

Technologies Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, endpoint management, Windows 11 migration, mobile device management

Cloud and scalable infrastructure — Infrastructure that grows with you

Ageing servers tie up capital and create continuity risk. We plan, migrate and manage cloud environments so you scale with demand, recover quickly from disruption and move to a predictable operating cost.

Technologies Microsoft Azure, cloud migration, backup and continuity, server modernisation, cloud cost management

Networks and connectivity — Connectivity your business can rely on

Everything else depends on the network. We design, install and support business networks, wireless and connectivity across single and multi-site operations, delivered as a project or inside a managed arrangement.

Technologies Cisco Meraki, Cisco networking, business firewalls, secure Wi-Fi, multi-site connectivity, Teams Phone and telephony

Data and reporting — Decisions on numbers you actually trust

Reporting that is assembled by hand arrives late and gets argued about. We connect your data, automate the preparation and put the numbers in front of the people who make the decisions.

FAQ's

IT support fixes what breaks. Technology enablement makes technology deliver business results: aligning it to your goals, closing the gaps, automating manual work, securing it properly and making sure your people use it well. SNS Technologies delivers both, with support included inside a broader managed experience rather than sold as the whole service.

Yes. SNS Technologies is based at 793 Jan Smuts Highway, Sherwood, Durban, and works with businesses across the greater Durban area, including Westville, Umhlanga, Pinetown, Hillcrest, Ballito and the Durban CBD. We also deliver and support clients remotely across South Africa. Local presence matters for on-site projects, network installations and face-to-face planning.

We work with established small and mid-sized organisations, typically between ten and a few hundred users. That is where our model fits best: enough complexity to need real expertise across security, cloud, applications and AI, without the overhead of an enterprise programme. We scale the service to the business rather than the other way around.

Yes. As a certified Microsoft partner we implement and then manage these platforms as an ongoing service, including Microsoft Intune device management, Microsoft Defender security, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, Power Apps and Power Automate solutions, Power BI reporting, Azure cloud, and Microsoft Copilot and agents. You get the expertise, the configuration baselines and the ongoing management, not just the licence.

Yes. We design, install and support business networks, wireless, firewalls and connectivity, including Cisco and Cisco Meraki environments, and we have delivered enterprise-grade network and telephony infrastructure for clients in KwaZulu-Natal. Network projects can be delivered on their own or as part of a wider managed arrangement.

Both are available, and most clients end up with a predictable monthly investment covering management, support, security and ongoing improvement, with larger projects quoted separately. The benefit of the monthly model is planning certainty and one partner accountable for the outcome, instead of several suppliers each invoicing for their own portion.

Yes, and it is a common arrangement. Your internal people keep the business-specific work they know best, while SNS Technologies provides the specialist capability that is hard to sustain in-house: security, cloud, Microsoft platform depth, applications, automation, AI and strategic planning. The internal team stops firefighting and starts adding value.

Start with a technology assessment. It is a short, no-obligation review of what you have, what it is costing you, where the risk sits and which improvements would deliver the fastest business benefit. You leave with a clear picture and a prioritised plan, whether or not you go further with us.
